Hoi An Ancient Town - The World Cultural Heritage
Hoi an played a very
important role in the maritime trade of the Southeast Asia, dating back to the
16 and 17 centuries, when Chinese, Japanese, and European vessels ran with the
trade winds to congregate at a Port then called Faifo.
It's annual spring fair grew into exotic showcase of the world.
The mix cultural heritage can be seen today in the town’s architecture, with
the famous Japanese Covered Bridge, Streets, and Houses built in the medieval
Chinese style, some beautifully restored, others still used as they have been
for centuries.
